Brief summary of the Artists
and their backgrounds
Philip Bergner produces open air oil paintings of South Bucks landscapes, seascapes, flowers and still life. He uses free brushwork in an impressionist style and has had works exhibited at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and other London shows.
Jeff Day is widely travelled and much of his work is painted on location. He works mostly in acrylic and oil colour, and his art reflects an eye for life, colour and atmosphere.
Barry Hunter is a motor racing enthusiast and specialises in motoring art, exhibiting regularly in local exhibitions. As a freelance artist he accepts commissions.
The Trust has two centres in Hertfordshire, UK at which artists of all kinds are given the support of premises and equipment. This year sees the fortieth anniversary of the Trust's founding.
Sue Benenson is a sculptor who made her local reputation as a wood-carver and creator of largish mixed media work. She is now concentrating on expressive shallow reliefs and accepts commissions and visitors to her studios.
Jennifer King is a member of The Visual Images Group based in Buckinghamshire. She produces works in watercolour, pastel, line & wash and acrylic. Subjects include landscape, seascape, architecture and flowers. Miniature paintings also feature and commissions are undertaken.
The works shown here are from those Jennifer King has kindly lent for use on the Wendover Parish Council's web site.
