The Digswell Arts Trust

is a dynamic arts charity which believes that art benefits all people and communities. It supports artists who wish to become professionals by providing low cost studio facilities at two bases at the Fairlands Valley Farmhouse in Stevenage and at the Forge in Digswell and gives them the opportunity for exhibitions and training. It also brings art out into the Community with a wide range of projects designed for groups as varied as children, the unemployed and those with learning difficulties.

Heritage Arts and the Community - Digswell Arts Trust is the name of an exciting new project for the Trust. We have been awarded a Your Heritage lottery grant to catalogue the archives of the Trust and working with former artists and others who have contributed to the Trust over the years to produce a CDROM describing the development. Anyone who has had an involvement with the Trust and would like to contribute to the project should contact George Woodcraft. Previous projects organised by the Trust have used the collective range of skills of the Fellows from both studios. more...

Our centres at The Forge, Digswell and Fairlands Valley Farmhouse, Stevenage provide bases for nearly 30 young artists and craftspeople. more...

Artists are selected by interview to be appointed Fellows of the Trust and are offered studio space for up to three years. Some of their work is displayed on this site. more...
